Learning Objectives

1. Distinguish between five sprinkler occupancy classifications found in NFPA 13.
2. Explain the key operational differences among wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action and Dell you sprinkler systems.
3. Identify NFPA 13 and NFPA 14 requirements for connections between water supplies and fire sprinkler systems.
4. Compute minimum required water supplies for fire sprinkler systems.
5. Explain difference between sprinkler systems for pipe schedule and hydraulic designs.
6. List required inspections and acceptance tests for fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 13 and NFPA 14.
